Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is the top Trust providing mental health care in the UK and third among all Trusts in the country for its information governance toolkit submissions.

The IG Toolkit is an online system which allows organisations to assess themselves or be assessed against Information Governance policies and standards. It also allows members of the public to view participating organisations’ IG Toolkit assessments.
The assessment measures every aspect of how information is managed, including the training, policies and procedures the Trust has developed and implemented. The toolkit allows Trusts to be compared like-for-like with other Trusts, by awarding a score out of a possible 100%.
For the second year in a row Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust scored 98%, which makes it the best performing mental health Trust in the UK.
The Trust is classed as a mental health trust, as it provides mental health services as well as learning disability and substance misuse services in Derby city and across Derbyshire. It also provides a wide range of children’s services.
