As part of World Mental Health Day (10 October), Derbyshire Healthcare’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) are coproducing an open day event with young people who are accessing CAMHS, and their families on Monday 10th October at Temple House, Mill Hill Lane, Derby, DE23 6SA, between 12.30pm and 6.30pm.
The event will showcase services across CAMHS, as well as other local services, including Sahara Mental Health. Come and find out more about accessing mental health services. There is no need to book, just drop in and see us.
The open day is free to attend but will remain as a cash-only event with funds from various prizes, including a raffle and cake sale being donated to Sahara Mental Health and the local CAMHS Participation Group.
Hayley Darn, General Manager for Childrens Services at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS FT, said: “The CAMHS event will provide the opportunity to help reduce the stigma around accessing mental health services with ease and confidence, and give tips for managing your own mental health and wellbeing.
“Those who attend will can meet with professionals across a variety of stalls and have the opportunity to take part in various workshops. It’s also a chance for those considering a career in CAMHS to seek advice and support.”
