A Derbyshire web developer has been praised for creating an innovative platform to support carers and their families at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Emma Sharratt, Web Developer for the Information Management and Technology team at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, was celebrated for creating this platform, which allows staff to gather information about performance and standards linked to carers and families in the Trust’s services.
In the Trust’s Delivering Excellence Every Day (DEED) awards, which recognises and celebrates Derbyshire Healthcare staff and volunteers who have gone ‘above and beyond’ in their work, and thereby demonstrated one or more of our Trust values, the colleague wrote a special thank you message for the “brilliant” support they received.
The colleague wrote: “Emma is just a star. She works quietly and diligently behind the scenes to support us in the Clinical and Quality Directorate. Emma has built a brilliant platform which allows staff to gather information about performance and standards linked to carers and families in Trust services.
“We rarely think about how valuable these types of tools are, but they support the organisation to be more efficient and effective and save so much time and precious resource. Emma's skills and knowledge are invaluable, and she always finds time, despite a very heavy workload, to help with tweaks and fixes when they are needed. Without realising it, she embodies the Trust’s values, and we are a better organisation for having Emma in it.”
Emma has worked as a web developer at the Trust for 18 years, where she was offered her first IT role and continues to enjoy your role many years on.
Emma said: “I could not have achieved this recognition without the support of the Information Management & Technology department. It’s a lovely feeling and greatly appreciated to be recognised for the work we do in the web team.”
If anyone who has experienced good care from a member of staff at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, they can nominate them through the scheme by filling in a DEED nomination form.
