Help improve future support resources for dementia carers

Elderly Asian lady with carer

Get involved in dementia research and help the future generation be more prepared to support people living with dementia at home...

There are currently 670,000 carers supporting a family member living with dementia across the UK. With an ageing population, more and more family members will be relied upon to support people living with dementia at home.

Our healthcare researchers are seeking the views of those caring for relatives living with a diagnosis of dementia via a questionnaire study (particularly south Asian participants). This is part of the national Caregiving HOPE study, which our Research & Development Team is contributing towards, aiming to develop culturally sensitive support resources for future carers.

To be included in the study you must be:

  1. A family member (or significant other) of the person with dementia
  2. Aged over 18 years
  3. Contributing towards providing the support required by the person with dementia
  4. Caring for someone with dementia who has a diagnosis of dementia (any type).

If you would be willing to help, please contact our Research & Development Team on 01332 623700 ext 33650.
