Afternoon tea to celebrate the work of carers in Derbyshire

Afternoon tea party

Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is committed to involving and supporting carers. We would like to invite carers, families and friends of people with mental health or learning disabilities or substance misuse problems to two free celebration events taking place in Derbyshire (in partnership with Thinkcarer, Making Spac and, mental health carers forums (city and south, and north)).

The afternoon will include:

  • carers talking about caring

  • support and help available for carers

  • our Trust signing up to the 'Triangle of Care: Carers included’

  • drinks and cake

  • a chance to let us know what you think about services for carers and what would help.

The ‘Triangle of Care: carers included’ report recommends better partnership working between service users, carers and staff. As part of these events the trust will formally apply for membership of the Triangle of Care Scheme.

13th June 2013, 2-4pm at the Centre for Research & Development, Kingsway Site, Derby, DE22 3LZ. Refreshments and cake provided.

14th June 2013, 2-4pm, Winding Wheel, 13 Holywell Street, Chesterfield, S41 7SA. Refreshments and cake provided.

Carers, their families and friends are welcome to join us. We would also like to encourage staff and other stakeholders to attend too - no booking is required. Come and browse and pick up information and talk to advice services. Respite for the cared for person may be available on site.
